Example of Library Rules and Regulations

v Smoking, eating and drinking are not allowed in the library.
v No bags, umbrellas, parcel, etc except files and books may be brought into the library.
v Idle conversation, loud laugher and other unnecessary noise disturb the library users and librarian must be avoided. Discussions are strictly forbidden in the library.
v Silence must be observed in the library all time. Mobile phones, pagers and watch alarms should be switched of before entering in the library.
v Library books and other materials must be handled with care. Mutilation and damage of the library materials will be penalized.
v Abusive language and gestures, harassing or threatening behavior to the library staff and other stakeholders are not acceptable.
v On leaving library, all the users are required to produce for inspection all books and other items.
v Reservation of seats is not permitted.
v Users must be decently dressed and conduct themselves properly in the library.
v Library staff on duty have the right to request a user to leave the premise if found violating a rules.
v The library will not accept any responsibility for the loss or misplaced personal belonging.
v Theft and mutilation of library materials is a criminal offence. Anyone caught attempting to steal, stealing or have stolen library materials will be reported to relevant security office and college disciplinary organs for the further action that may include persecution, barred from using the library or suspension from studies.
v Adhere library timetable and lending procedures at anytime
v Cleanliness to library users is important all time when entering and leaving in the library.
v When entering in the library, the library users are requested to pass through the sign IN and when leaving the library also requested to pass through the sign OUT for more inspection.
