Colleagues,
Let us not misconceive the concept of self employment. Literally, at any time, there MUST be employers and employees. The entrepreneurship literature say both employers and employees MUST be entrepreneurial if the firm is to carve a competitive edge in the market. This is to therefore say, whether you are an employee or employer, u must be entrepreneurial if u want to be relevant for the organization.
My biggest problem with pple who perceive kuajiriwa negatively is that, they advocate for self employment as if everybody in this world MUST be self employed. No this is inconsistent with entrepreneurship literature and the reality. If everybody becomes self employed, who will work for them? The bottom line if we want to have a vibrant economy, everyone (employed or self employed) must be entrepreneurial.
Tusichukie kuajiriwa, tuchukie mazingira ya kazi za kuajiriwa kwenye nchi zetu masikini. Ngoja niwaambie, ngoma ya nachukia kuajiriwa ni ya kampeni ya serikali za nchi masikini kukabiliana na unemployment challenge. Usipoifahamu hii ngoma utaicheza vibaya.
Because they have such a huge challenge that they cannot address, they come with slogans, nachukia kuajiriwa, etc. Kibaya zaidi they equate entrepreneurship with self employment. Ndio maana wanasema entrepreneurship ifundishwe vyuoni ili eventually vijana waweze kujiajiri. From today, wale ambao hawafahamu, naomba wafahamu kwamba entrepreneurship and self employment are two different things (but may have only sporadic elements of commonality).
Nihitimishe kwa kusema hivi:
Chuki dhidi ya dhana ya kuajiriwa inaweza kusababishwa na mambo makubwa mawili:
1. Msukumo wa nchi kwa watu wake baada ya kushindwa kukabiliana na tatizo la ukosefu wa ajira ( kwa hiyo matokeo yake ni kuwafunza watu kuchukia kuajiriwa)
2. Mazingira mabovu ya ajira (malipo duni sana, mazingira hatarishi ya kazi, ukandamizaji, kutojali afya na stahiki za mfanyakazi, kukosa ujasiriamali kwa waajiriwa n.k n.k)
Kuhusu hilo jambo la pili, nenda kasome ripoti za ILO za kila mwaka kuhusu definition ya ajira, halafu ufanye assessment ya mtu aliyeajiriwa hapa Tz. Utakachojifunza ni kwamba sehemu kubwa ya watu walioajiriwa wanaganga njaa tu. Wapo kwenye ajira ambazo si ajira kwa tafsiri za kitaalamu. Kwa hiyo kijana ambaye anatafuta maisha akimtazama mganga njaa anavyoishi kwa kuunga unga maisha (ingawaje aneajiriwa), lazima atasema, nachukia kuajiriwa.
Take these words from me, ukiajiriwa kwa stabdard ya definition ya ajira as per ILO, nakuhakikishia hilo neno nachukia kuajiriwa litakua msamiati.
Mfano mdogo: wachezaji wa mpira wa timu kubwa ambao wana mishahara ya bilioni moja kwa mwezi ni waajiriwa. Na usipompangia kazi (kumpanga kucheza mechi) anakasirika vibaya sana hata kama akikaa benchi atapata mshahara wake kama kawaida bado anakasirika sana. Huku nyumbani mtu akikaa bila kazi mshahara ukiwa unaingia tu anachekelea hadi jino la mwisho.
Tafakari concept yangu ya kila mtu awe mwajiri au mwajiriwa lazima awe mjasiriamali NA ujasiriamali sio sawasawa na kujiajiri; ni vitu viwili tofauti
